#005: I Saw Her Standing There

"One, two, three, four!" I Saw Her Standing There is one of those songs that starts and gets me dancing all the way until the end. What a good way to kick off the Please Please Me album! The upbeat pace really drives the song all the way through, and by the end I always feel a little out of breath, either by my own dancing or simply because the energy put into the song is so evident. 

I wanted the lettering to reflect the fast-paced spirit of the song. I decided to put the lettering on a slant. I added the additional lines once I finished the lettering, especially because once I had filled in the "S" I felt that there needed to be other elements to ground the composition a bit more.
